Failte, Welcome, Bienvenue, Willkommen, Recepcion to our world of AWARD WINNING PRESERVES FROM THE HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND ENJOYMENT FOR THE DECERNING Based in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, Gillies Fine Foods Limited is a family run company producing a range of high quality, award winning, preserves ~ conserves (extra jams), chutneys, marmalades, very berry fruit drinks, herb and fruit vinegars and dressings, sauces (both savoury and sweet), jellies for both meat and cheese. All of the soft fruit and herbs that are used are grown here in the north of Scotland, much of it by local crofters. The range of products also includes the two Glenferlie, honey based, low alcohol drinks ~ ‘Toddy’ and ‘Glasgow Punch’. Some products are produced specifically for Christmas time, such as Christmas Chutney (a really fruity, pear based mix), Cranberry and Orange Relish with Port (the Port gives a richness to the chutney that goes extremely well with good pate, particularly Venison), Apple and Cranberry Jelly (a lot of people don’t like ‘bits’) and Seriously Rich Mincemeat for that Christmas essential, mince pies! Gillies Fine Foods send produce all over Britain and further afield. Husband and wife team Ruari and Su Gillies share the workload, Ruari running the kitchen, Su concentrates on marketing and together they work on new product ideas. Their love of the good food available in the Highlands leads them on to develop more sauces and preserves and to find more innovative uses for all the excellent and healthy fruit and berries grown in the north of Scotland.
